UPSC CSE Prelims Cut-off 2024

The UPSC CSE Prelims Exam consists of two papers – General Studies-I and General Studies-II (CSAT). Only the marks obtained in the General Studies-I are counted for merit ranking. General Studies-II (CSAT) is only qualifying in nature, with minimum qualifying marks of 33%.

The UPSC Final Cut-Off is derived by combining candidates’ scores in the Mains Examination as well as that in the Personality Test (Interview).   • Female candidates have grabbed 3 out of the top 5 ranks in the CSE 2024.
  • Female candidates have grabbed 6 out of the top 10 ranks in the CSE 2023.
    • This is a significant jump from 4 out of the top 10 in the CSE 2022.
  • In terms of overall selections, 352 out of a total of 1016 results in the UPSC CSE 2023 are females.
    • For the UPSC CSE 2022, this number was 320 out of a total of 933 selections.
